Welcome to the Tanoshimimasu Dojo

Our dojo was established March 2003 by Ian Burrows, Shidoshi.

Ian has over 17 years experience in the Bujinkan Arts. He started training when he was 14 years old back in 1988.

He is constantly going on seminars with senior instructors of the Bujinkan to further his knowledge and experience.

Ian travels to Japan regularly to train with Hatsumi Sensei the head of the Bujinkan Dojo and his Shihan. In 2000 Ian passed the Godan test in the Honbu dojo in Noda, Japan. This gives him the authority to teach the Art of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu.

Tanoshimimasu is the name of his dojo, which in English translation simply means 'to enjoy oneself' because Ian believes enjoyment is a major part of Bujinkan training.

Also at the dojo you will find Mark Kelly, Shidoshi. Mark and Ian went to Japan together in 2002 were he passed the Godan test. Mark assists with the running of the dojo.

Ian's most recent trip to Japan was in June 2004.

Ian's next trip to Japan is in mid 2006.
